These Terms & Conditions apply to bespoke garments commissioned from AME_HANDMADESG, including bridal gowns, evening gowns, cheongsams, suits and other custom-made garments.

By confirming a bespoke order, paying a deposit, or submitting our Bespoke Work Order & Agreement, the client acknowledges and accepts the applicable terms below.

1. Bespoke Process

Every bespoke garment is individually made according to the agreed design, materials and the client’s measurements.

The usual process may include consultation, measurements, production, fittings, alterations and final collection.

A fitting appointment does not automatically mean that the garment is fully completed or ready for collection. Further fitting or alteration work may still be required unless AME_HANDMADESG has expressly confirmed that the appointment is for final collection.

2. Design References

Reference photographs, sketches and inspiration images are used to communicate the intended design.

As every garment is individually handmade, reasonable differences may occur in areas such as:

• drape and structure
• proportions
• lace or embellishment placement
• fabric behaviour
• hand-finishing
• how a design sits on an individual body shape

A bespoke garment should therefore not be understood as an exact factory reproduction of another garment or reference photograph.

3. Design Approval

The client is responsible for reviewing and confirming the agreed design before production begins.

The approved design may include the agreed:

• silhouette and cutting
• neckline
• bodice style
• sleeves
• skirt
• train
• closure
• fabric
• colour
• lace or embellishment
• other requested design details

Where reasonably practical, significant changes to the approved design should be confirmed in writing.

4. Fabrics & Materials

The fabrics and materials recorded in the client’s Bespoke Work Order represent the agreed materials for production.

If a material substitution is required and it would materially change the appearance or character of the garment, AME_HANDMADESG will communicate this with the client before proceeding where reasonably practicable.

Natural and manufactured fabrics can behave differently when cut, pressed, sewn and worn. Minor variations in texture, drape, sheen or movement are not necessarily defects.

5. Measurements

Detailed production measurements are maintained separately by AME_HANDMADESG as an internal tailoring record.

Measurements represent the client’s body measurements at the time they are taken.

Changes to the client’s body size, posture, undergarments, shoes or heel height after measurements are taken may affect the fit of the finished garment and may require additional alterations.

Additional work caused by significant changes in the client’s measurements may be chargeable.

6. Fittings & Alterations

Bespoke garments normally require fittings and adjustments.

During fittings, clients should raise any concerns regarding fit, length, sleeves, bodice, waistline, skirt, fastening or other relevant areas.

AME_HANDMADESG may record the concerns raised and the alterations agreed in a separate fitting record.

The number of fittings required varies depending on the garment, design complexity and fitting adjustments.

7. Design Changes After Production Starts

Alterations necessary to achieve the originally agreed fit or design are different from new design changes requested by the client.

If the client requests changes after production has started, including changes to neckline, sleeves, silhouette, fabric, lace, embellishment, skirt design, train or structural construction, additional charges and/or additional production time may apply.

AME_HANDMADESG will advise the client where a requested change materially affects cost or production time.

8. Earlier Dates & Rush Requests

Where a client requests a fitting, completion or collection date earlier than the originally agreed schedule, AME_HANDMADESG will advise whether the revised timing is reasonably achievable.

Acceptance of an earlier fitting appointment does not automatically mean that the garment will be completely finished and ready for final collection on that date unless this has been expressly confirmed.

Rush orders may be subject to additional charges.

9. Client Concerns & Rectification

If a client identifies a fitting or workmanship concern, the client should notify AME_HANDMADESG as soon as reasonably possible.

AME_HANDMADESG should be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect the garment, assess the concern, discuss the proposed solution and carry out reasonable rectification where appropriate.

This helps both parties establish the condition of the garment and the appropriate next steps before further alterations are undertaken elsewhere.

10. Third-Party Alterations

If a client chooses to have another tailor, seamstress, bridal studio or third party alter, cut, unpick or reconstruct the garment before AME_HANDMADESG has had a reasonable opportunity to inspect and address the concern, responsibility for subsequent changes must be assessed according to the circumstances.

AME_HANDMADESG cannot accept responsibility for defects, changes or damage caused by work subsequently performed by another party.

This does not exclude any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Deposits & Payment

A 50% deposit is normally required to commence bespoke production.

Once production or material procurement has commenced, the deposit is generally non-refundable, subject to applicable law and the circumstances of the order.

The remaining balance must be paid according to the agreed payment schedule and before or on collection where applicable.

Card payments may incur a 3.5% processing fee where applicable.

12. Cancellation

Because bespoke garments are individually designed, cut and produced for a specific client, cancellation after production has commenced may result in the loss of the deposit and charges for work already completed or materials already purchased.

Any cancellation request will be reviewed according to the stage of production and applicable law.

13. Collection

Clients should inspect the garment during the fitting and collection process and raise any outstanding concerns before final collection where reasonably possible.

A collection or fitting record may document:

whether the garment is approved
outstanding agreed alterations
concerns raised
any recommended rectification declined by the client
whether the client chooses to take the garment before further alteration is completed
14. Refunds & Compensation

Refund or compensation requests are assessed individually.

Relevant factors may include:

• the agreed order
• work already completed
• materials already used
• fitting history
• concerns raised
• opportunity provided for inspection or rectification
• whether the garment has subsequently been altered by another party
• applicable Singapore law

Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove any statutory rights that apply to the client.

15. Communication & Written Records

Clients are encouraged to keep written records of important design, fitting and alteration decisions.

AME_HANDMADESG may also maintain written fitting records, signed/electronic agreements, photographs and order documentation for business and production purposes.

16. Bespoke Work Order & Agreement

Before production begins, clients may be required to complete the AME_HANDMADESG Bespoke Work Order & Agreement.

The signed/electronically acknowledged agreement for an individual order forms part of the terms applicable to that order and records important details such as:

• order information
• approved design
• materials
• price
• timeline
• measurement status
• client acknowledgements

Where there is a specific written agreement for an individual order, that agreement should be read together with these website Terms & Conditions.

17. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Singapore.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or restrict liability where doing so would not be permitted under applicable Singapore law.
